Margarita Díaz-Andreu 是巴塞罗那大学历史与考古学系的 ICREA 研究教授（加泰罗尼亚高等研究院 ICREA Research Professor），于 2012 年加入该校。她于 1990 年在马德里康普顿斯大学（UCM）获得考古学博士学位（以最高荣誉获颁学位并获博士论文奖）。其后她在伦敦大学学院（UCL）和南安普顿大学从事博士后研究（1991–1993 年），并先后在西班牙国家研究委员会（CSIC）从事研究、在康普顿斯大学（UCM）任教，随后在杜伦大学考古学系任教多年（1996–2011 年）。

她的研究涵盖四大主要领域：考古声学与岩画；遗产研究与公众考古学；性别研究；以及考古学史——近年来尤其关注女性在该学科中的历史。她主持的欧洲研究理事会（ERC）高级研究资助项目 Artsoundscapes（艺术声景，2018–2025 年，约 224 万欧元）研究史前岩画遗址的声景，代表了考古声学领域处于国际前沿的研究工作。

她曾获西班牙梅嫩德斯·皮达尔（Menéndez Pidal）国家人文研究奖（2021 年）、瑞典哥德堡大学考古学费利克斯·诺伊贝里讲座奖（Felix Neubergh Lecture Award，2022 年），并被西班牙科学与创新部列入"具有国内与国际声誉的杰出女性科学家"之列。她已指导完成 18 篇博士学位论文，并指导过 16名博士后研究人员。她已发表逾 310 项学术成果，其中包括 34部独著或主编著作。

"史前艺术与音乐考古学"系列讲座探讨狩猎采集社会视觉表达与音乐表达的起源与发展。通过对洞穴壁画、便携式艺术品、装饰品、乐器以及表演空间的研究，本课程将考察史前人群如何创造并体验图像与声音。课程将介绍重要的考古发现、分析方法，以及关于象征、仪式、认知与社会认同的理论取径。课程还将探讨艺术与音乐在日常生活、交流与信仰体系中的作用，以及它们在现代学术与大众文化中的接受与阐释。
